DEPROPSON stands for Dexterity Progressive Organized Private Schools of Nigeria. It is a visionary, inclusive, and reform-oriented association of private schools based in Iwo, Osun State, Nigeria, dedicated to advancing private education through unity, innovation, and excellence.
DEPROPSON was initiated and founded by Prince Comrade Tadese Abayomi Fatai, an Education Officer, Inspector of Education, and educational reform advocate. He saw the need for a unified platform to address gaps in the private education sector.
Any registered private school in Iwo and surrounding areas can apply for DEPROPSON membership. Visit the Contact page to reach out to our officials, or attend our next Annual General Meeting to learn about the membership registration process.
Members enjoy a unified platform for collaboration, access to professional development workshops, participation in inter-school competitions (sports and CBT), regulatory compliance support, representation before government bodies, and access to the DEPROPSON network of over 26 schools.
The CBT (Computer-Based Testing) Portal is an online platform used for conducting academic competitions among DEPROPSON member schools. Students take standardized tests digitally, promoting academic excellence and healthy competition across all schools.
DEPROPSON is uniquely inclusive — the association welcomes schools of all linguistic orientations including English-medium, Arabic, French, and bilingual institutions. This reflects Nigeria's diverse educational landscape and is a core principle of the association.
DEPROPSON hosts three major annual programs: the Inter-School Sports Competition, the CBT Academic Competition, and the Annual General Meeting & Symposium. Additional workshops and training sessions are also held periodically for teacher capacity building.
